The Tight Collection is a limited edition series of 11 units each, consisting of a bench, stool, and console. The main structure of each piece was crafted by CNC-cutting individual profiles from panels made of factory off-cuts and recycled wood. These profiles were then clamped and glued together, followed by hand-shaping to create the unique curves that define this collection.
Since the collection aims to celebrate craftsmanship and the artisans behind it, it was essential to convey a sense of the making process in the finished pieces. The surface finish, inspired by artist Martin Puryear, was achieved by nailing individual strips of oak veneer to the completed form, with each nail intentionally visible. To fit the bold contours of each piece, the veneer strips were soaked in water for several hours before being applied, allowing them to mold seamlessly to the shapes.
